Karla K. Chamberlain MA, LMFT

Karla K. Chamberlain, MA, LMFT is a native of Texas, where she was born and raised. She has five children and eight grandchildren who “add immeasurable joy to her life.” She enjoys running, hiking, reading, writing, cooking, and gardening for relaxation and rejuvenation. She has run several marathons, two with her daughters. Running and hiking are great ways to enjoy the outdoors which is her very favorite place to be.

Karla has worked for LDS Family Services in Texas, Tennessee, and Colorado from 2004-2011. She went into private practice in the fall of 2011 and she continues to serve the Utah Valley and Basin Areas. She also worked from January 2011 to May 2013 for Colorado West Regional Mental Health as a Child and Family Therapist/ Assessment Specialist, providing therapy to individuals, couples and families and completing Substance Abuse/Mental Health Evaluations.

Karla has been in private practice since 2011. She serves the Provo and Roosevelt Utah areas where she specializes in families, couples, sex therapy, infidelity, self-harm, trauma recovery, and mood disorders. In addition, Karla has years of experience working with members of the LGBTQ-plus community helping navigate social, familial, and personal challenges.

With a strong knowledge of couples and families, she has had great success in treating mental health issues individually and within the family system. Her systems approach and integration of spirituality have helped hundreds to lead stronger healthier, more productive lives.

She enjoys presenting on 5th Sundays to surrounding stakes and to a variety of meetings and conferences, and is readily available for presentations on mental health or parenting issues.

Karla holds an Associates Degree in Childhood Education, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and holds chapter membership as well as licensure in Utah.
